Since Underwater Getdown, Factories has shed the weight of more complex compositions in exchange for a fresh take on electronic pop music. Landing somewhere in-between Handsome Furs, Sleighbells, Postal Service, and Mates of State, their new approach juxtaposes catchy songs with lyrical depth. Electronic beats provide the backbone, angular guitars and booming keyboards provide the muscle, while Bryan and Audra’s harmonies provide the beautiful faces of the multi-headed serpent. Their gaze pierces cloud, shadow, earth, and flesh.
With the recent release of their self-produced EP, and a full-length record scheduled for 2011, Factories is looking forward to taking their high-energy live show on the road.
